When reporting a problem, please include your Azure DevOps organization name and, if possible, a screenshot — it usually cuts the round-trips in half. Never include passwords or personal access tokens in support e-mails.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Trailmap modify my work items?
- No. Trailmap is read-only by design; it visualizes your existing data and never writes to Azure Boards.
- Does my data leave my Azure DevOps organization?
- No. All rendering happens in your browser; settings live in the Azure DevOps Extension Data Service. Our servers only ever see your organization ID for license validation. See the Privacy Policy.
- How does the trial work?
- Every organization gets a 30-day free trial with all features, starting automatically on first use. No credit card required. After the trial you can subscribe from inside the extension.
- How is Trailmap licensed?
- Per Azure DevOps organization — one subscription covers all users in the organization. Plans differ by the number of teams shown on the roadmap (Team: 3, Org: 10, Scale: unlimited).
- What happens if the licensing service is unreachable?
- Trailmap fails open: if our licensing service is down, the extension keeps working without restrictions. Your roadmap never breaks because of us.
- Which Azure DevOps versions are supported?
- Azure DevOps Services (cloud). Azure DevOps Server (on-premises) support is on the roadmap — tell us if you need it, it helps us prioritize.
